Holy shit, the freak won.

Despite the public largely voting for something different, enough of them went along with the Globohomo that, combined, it wasn’t possible to override the extremely biased jury vote.

I imagine we’ll get even more “non-binary” and “queer” bullshit, next year, after this result.

Puke.

I’m so fucking sick of their “flags”, and being lectured by these gender ideology freaks. Holy shit.

No wonder so many (mostly Eastern) countries pulled out of the contest this year. Perhaps the best way to get away from this seemingly all-encompassing ideology, at this point…

“Queers”, faggots and “girl power”. Yuck.

Lol at the downvotes...

Keep believing the THOT. I'm sure she won't turn out exactly like Lauren Southern, or any other "conservative female influencer" in a few years time...

It's so obvious, even just from her Instagram (which is linked in that article). But sure. Keep believing she's "the real thing". Whatever works for you.

Yeah. I feel similarly about One Nation, here in Aus, although they don't exactly have models campaigning/running for them, lol...

Perhaps the better local equivalent might be the (much newer) "Advance Australia" group, which uses similar attractive younger women for their appeal. Again, nothing like this girl, though.

That just doesn't exist here. Even the main "conservative" party is mostly middle age women and a few younger men thrown in...

I honestly think that if someone like this girl managed to gain traction here, the feds would be onto her before she got "big". Even at local council level in my nearest city, a woman who could barely be described as "right of centre" got death threats and was publicly defamed by her own colleagues for daring to push back against statue removals, place renaming and gender ideology bullshit.

It's become that crazy, down here...

Gonna sound like a complete hipster wanker here, but in terms of collecting whole catalogues, I only really have prog, 70s rock, classical and local bands/acts.

So, to go for ten (and mostly avoiding the completely obscure), I have: Alan Parsons Project (vast majority of), Pink Floyd (same), Hunters and Collectors (Australian), Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac (consistently my favourite band, for much of my life), Vaughan Williams, Copland, and then the Galvatrons (Also Aus), the Blue Mosquitoes and associated projects (from my home state), and finally Goanna/Shane Howard (also Australian).

Almost all of those are on CD, with a few records thrown in (some Floyd, some Parsons).

I go to a tonne of live concerts, though (when I can afford them), so I tend to pick up a bunch of stuff there. I think I have over 50 band/festival tees, at this point, so that's something.

I swear I unironically remember some dumb white woman saying this, or something similar (i.e. that the worst part was the "racist response"), at some point...

In fact that Canadian "journalist" I posted about a while back (Amanda Lindhout) said something vaguely similar, when asked about whether her Somali captors had raped her, while she was held there for months...

So... Yeah.

bamboozler1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Having said all that, she's younger than me and has already achieved far more than I probably ever will, which is... More than just down to genetics, chromosomes and country of origin. So... I probably shouldn't criticize her too much.

Whatever her true motives, and however sincere or otherwise she may be, at least she is doing something to fight back. Which is more than can be said for me, or a lot of people.

So yeah. Good for/on her. We could do with more politicians who stick to their guns.

bamboozler1 -3 points ago +3 / -6

To be exceedingly cynical about this...

While I agree that this is a trash ruling, and makes a mockery of "democracy", she's also a complete grifter thot.

Literally everything she does is for attention, from going on a reality dating show years ago, to putting her face on the AfD posters (she was literally a model, after all), to then running and getting herself elected.

Not saying that she's wrong, or that she probably doesn't believe at least some of what she says, but I do feel that the whole "being a politician" thing is more of a LARP, for her, and that she'll eventually quit, and become a "media figure" or "talking head" or somesuch.

It's not like she's the only one to do that (I can think of a couple in Aus, who did similar), but I think that it's important to point that out.

Most attractive politician for a while, though. I'll give her that much credit.

Amy Poehler..? Yeah, I can see what you mean about facial structure then. Vaguely...

4
bamboozler1 4 points ago +4 / -0

At least this was presumably outside his control...

The Noem thing (and her continually doubling down on it) just makes her look like a complete psycho. As another commenter pointed out, dogs are fairly bipartisan...

She's pretty much made herself unelectable, at this point. Which, all things considered, ls likely a good thing.

Lied about meeting Kim Jong Un, too, for some bizarre reason. And gave free publicity to an interstate cosmetic clinic using campaign funds...

Just an all-round terrible person, IMHO.

I'd guess which SNL cast member you mean, but there's so many that could apply to, lol...

Not Kate Mckinnon though. Unattractive though this chick may be, I'd say she has lesbian nutjob beat, at the very least, lol.

The NY Post article on this chick has slightly more flattering photos, at the very least: https://archive.is/teAKb

But yeah, Hannah Danana is the current "artist name" of the Scottish transgender chick I was talking about, and [s]he unironically looks less dumpy than Kitty does. They really do look quite similar though...

12
bamboozler1 12 points ago +12 / -0

How old is she?? She looks far too old to sustain that sort of "lifestyle"...

I'm thinking late 30s at best.

Edit: It says she was in her mid-20s in 2019, so that makes her... Early 30s at most, now. So yeah, just... Plain.

Unironically, there's a Scottish transgender "tattoo artist influencer" who looks really, really similar, lol. Which says a lot about "Kitty's" looks.

As I learned on his birthday, my son had decided three things about smartphones. 1. They’re infantilizing, a set of digital apron strings meant to attach you to your mother. (He was onto something there.) 2. They compromise a boy’s resourcefulness because kids come to rely on the GPS instead of learning Scout skills. 3. They make people trivial. This final observation bugs me the most, because he still expresses it whenever he sees me jabbing at my own device: “Texty texty! Emoji emoji!” And when I play my word games, he shouts, “GAMER!” That hurts. In short, my son says, he doesn’t want a phone because he wants to be free.

She doesn’t like her picture taken and posted to Instagram. When I’ve done it, I say it’s because I’m just proud of them and want to show them off. They both say that they never signed a waiver to let their likenesses be used for my promotional purposes.

I have no words. How these kids managed to sprout from the genes of this fucking moron, I do not know. Must have had a smart dad/sperm donor, to say the least.

No wonder he didn't stick around.

I didn't actually read the Trump neighbour article, but from comments I saw on Reddit, it is apparently equally as unhinged as this deranged rant about her smartphone-phobic son, lol...

Apparently she has been "online" since 1979 (!), which is fucking ludicrous for a "normie"...

But she also appears to have had the kid in question when she was ~ 39, so probably lucky he turned out as based as he did (and not with Down's or similar), all things considered...

So the phone sits among my nightgowns, essentially deceased. I only recently acknowledged that it will never be what a phone should be—someone’s steadfast companion, a guilty pleasure, a fetish object alive with the hallucinatory wonders of the entire angelic and demonic internet.

What happened is my son rejected my gift. He simply said no to the present I’d bought and wrapped for him. He didn’t want a phone. He really didn’t want a phone. As I protested that he need use it only for calls and texts, he dug in, and became emotional. Please don’t make me get a phone. So I tucked the iPhone 4 in my drawer, assuming he’d come around. Three years later, he still hasn’t.

What. The. Fuck.

Oh, TIL!

This I did not know, lol...

The other lead actor (Baker) is one of the most famous actors out of my home state, so they regularly show it here. But I still didn't know that!

I've never managed to watch more than half an ep. But yeah, maybe I should give it a go then.

House is a bit too, erm, unethical, but also "magic", for me, as someone who has been exposed to the medical field a bit.

I'm told Scrubs is actually more medically accurate, which is saying something...

But House > ER >>> Grey's, nonetheless, imho.

I have to admit that initially I mainly just watched House reruns because Teardrop was my favourite song for a while, lol. But then they changed the music, so... Eh.

Also came to discover just what colossal wankers Massive Attack are, so there's that. Still a dope song though.

For contrast, this is what Eurovision should be: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azw4Kh8Rqpw

Goofy, well-meaning and quite universal lyrics. And quite moving, I feel.

Also the last time the UK won (Katrina and the Waves, 1997).

Original: https://au.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/electric-fields-on-eurovision-elimination-call-for-australia-decides-return-59622/

I have to hand it to them somewhat, seeing as they presumably know that they wouldn't win/be chosen, if this actually happened...

Which is really something, when even the artist that was chosen purely for woke virtue signalling points is more honest about that fact than either the broadcaster responsible (SBS) or the other public broadcaster (ABC), both of which are running damage control to explain away the result, including claiming Europe "Just didn't get it" or that the result "Came out of nowhere", lol...

Also worth pointing out that like so many other things (cashlessness for one, the removal of physical public transport tickets for another) the reason that SBS gave for scrapping Australia Decides was Covid, even though they did the scrapping after the bulk of the pandemic was over... And once again, even though we're in a "post Covid reality" now, this is yet another thing that hasn't returned... Funny that.

The actress?

Sadly I don’t fully get the reference… 😕

How did this individual manage to do some of those things..?

Like, that’s… Very unusual, not just to get away with those things, but to even be in the situation for something like the pool party, or the ferry incident, to happen…

“Well-connected individual”, or..?

Which he in turn hated because it was “robotic”, and then it turned out he had the prosthetic robotic limb, right..?

Ah, Asimov. I liked that movie more than I expected to, from what I recall.

Certainly not perfect (fucking Shia LaBeouf), but still very memorable, with cool effects, if nothing else.

That worm genuinely looks demonic…

Which, I suppose, is why they included the photo (though I wish they hadn’t).

Yuck.

This type of situation was also the plot of the pilot episode of House, MD, for what it’s worth.

Pork. Watch out for pork.

Meh, AF isn’t that bad…

My father has it, is a similar age to this guy, and controls it almost completely with medication.

Different health system, yes, but he works full time, and it really doesn’t seem to affect him that much on the day to day, compared to other health issues…

So, while it isn’t a nothingburger, I would suggest it is nowhere near as big a thing as that article makes out…
