It’s currently just over halfway through the national jury votes (which are a panel of supposed music industry “experts” from each country), and they’ve almost all sent their votes to both of the non-binary freaks competing (Ireland and especially Switzerland), while giving barely a single vote to a song about drugs and disobeying the law/police (Estonia)…
This coming after the EBU literally kicked the Netherlands out of the contest at the last minute (for “making a threatening gesture at the camera”), Ireland refused to participate in rehearsals, and politics has absolutely dominated the whole affair, including a whole bunch of “jury representatives” boycotting because of Israel…
Even the supposedly “conservative” Eastern European countries are sending their votes to a man in a dress, singing about how he is “neither male nor female”…
Obviously I know approximately what I’m getting into, each year I watch this, but holy shit it is blatant, now…
If Switzerland wins, I might just give up on this absolute bullshit schlockfest, although personally I at least hope that the public vote has better taste than the supposed “experts”…
I recommend stop watching the propaganda, it really does not help to improve your mood.
The faggot from the UK got 0 public votes. I’m happy about that, at least, lol…
Again? That's happened before, although I have no idea when because I stopped bothering with this after Terry Wogan was fired from presenting and he's also been dead for 8 years now so a looong time now.
If that outweighs the misery created by the rest, then ok, haha
Ha, well, it was one of the few “moments of light” among an otherwise pretty damn awful voting section of the “show”…
But honestly, it’s Mother’s Day here, and I really do not enjoy this day (obligatory luncheon and all), so… At least Eurovision gives me a chance to “day drink”, lol…
Ah, hostage situation, well can't do much about that, will raise a glass in the night for you, cheers!
You'd think they would look at Sam Ryder and think 'we did well with him, what could we do in future to build on his success', but no, they've reverted back to type with diversity gesturing and moral grandstanding which the rest of Europe does not reward. Maybe if they focused more on talent, staging and producing music that isn't milquetoast, they'd have better results.
I guess the BBC didn't want the cost of staging the event again after 2023 with their financial troubles as of late.
