Didn't they do this last time as well?

Christ, can we just be honest about the fact that women want to be viewed as sex objects and that by and large they are sex objects? It's the one thing they have to contribute to society, everything else is taken care of by the men.

I'd argue that the left is incapable of having any conversation. Any sentiment that contradicts their own position results in immediate and disproportionate hostility that instantly destroys the possibility of discourse. I've seen it happen over and over again and been on the receiving end of it a few times myself.

I don't think these people can be rehabilitated.

The ending to the first season was so beautifully tragic. I can only imagine that a second season will ultimately tarnish that, even if it ends up being good.

It's something I'm beginning to recognize as a problem with current era media: creators no longer understand how to leverage the audience's imagination as part of their own work.

Animals like him are incapable of self reflection or learning. He is simply responding to the stimuli he is currently experiencing. Nothing more and nothing less.

Oh jeeze, been a while since I heard the name GodfreyElfwick... The last ten years have been such a fucking wild ride.

Thankfully, they can't get rid of the old stuff.

I'm sure they're working on that. Why do you think everything is a subscription based service now rather than a physical product you can purchase and genuinely own?

I hate it for a lot more than that. Absolute fucking skinsuit of product.

For those who are uncultured: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5xdg2l

Also: Thank you for making me look that up. It's been too long since I watched that show. Criminally underrated, that one.

You're suffering from complete cultural disconnect if anime avatars are some weird new development to you. This shit has been normal for a very long time. Again, at least a quarter century. Not sure how you missed that for so long, but here we are.

That's a fair counter argument, but it's still the difference between soft power and hard power and if you're going to govern the state you need hard power. It's non-negotiable. I'm just frustrated with their need to simp all the time because it's a losing strategy that demonstrates they don't even understand the rules of the game.

I swear that wasn't a saying until several years in and it was invented by new people who weren't around for shit like air play.

I don't like the bit about cracking down on government leakers. That one leaves a bad taste in my mouth. People should absolutely have zero fear about sharing the government's misdeeds to the public.

Why is this happening?

You missed about a quarter century worth of culture. Where the fuck have you been?

I'll cop to enjoying papakin's appearances. He seems wholesome.

Well ideally you aim to achieve both, but if you can't have both you need to be feared. It's the old Starship Troopers quote: all authority is derived from violence. Why? Because people are afraid to suffer violence.

I'm critiquing the right for constantly wanting to be loved and actively refusing to cultivate any sort of fear. Then they end up having no power and not learning the lesson and being completely ineffectual. If you're not feared then you represent no threat and you wield no actual power.

van valkenburg IIRC.

Good. Make them fear us.

For too long the Right has shied away from embracing the lessons of Niccolo Machiavelli. They keep wanting to be loved when if you must choose only one, the correct choice is to be feared.

I expect open war before the end of his term. I say this based on a brief conversation tonight with some leftist gaming buddies. They have learned nothing and still think that they're the good guys and that they're giving the right a fair chance. The very concept that they scream "far right" at anyone who isn't a rabid progressive is an utterly foreign idea to them and they get overtly hostile if you even suggest the possibility.

These people are angry, hostile, detached from reality and quick to lash out. I don't think there's any way the tensions in the room are going to go down. We'll have more assassination attempts and the rank and file will become more openly hostile to members of the general populace they suspect of being rightwing.

A prime example of why I advocate for archive links over .jpg posts.
