Right, and yet they wanted us to elect Hillary over Trump. its not about politics as we're used to seeing them its about the politics that goes on behind closed doors that matters. Trump may have echoed much of what Hillary's husband Bill would have stood for, but he wasn't willing to play ball in the same way Hillary was. Thus the establishment sides with the establishment.
The market is supposedly unpredictable in the first place, but what the establishment is freaking out about is the fact that now it REALLY IS unpredictable. Things didn't go according to their plans, which now we know THEY HAVE PLANS, which throws the whole false narrative about the stock market straight into the gutter. Now anyone who is paying attention knows that most of what goes on is orchestrated. The elite are manipulating the market, and now they're pissed that they lost a little bit of that control.
The reason the left gained so much ground in the culture war was because for most of its existence they've been the only ones fighting it. Sure we've pushed back, but only politely. Meanwhile they were taking over key positions of power, silencing important voices, and reporting and cancelling people for wrong think.
The very fact that he thought it was a funny joke tells you all you need to know. "Have fun being a cocktail waitress (we all know THEY suck, ammirite??) lol.
That's different from making a topical joke about blacks or asians, where the joke is meant to be over the top hyperbole, here though we have King laughing at the prospect of someone falling from grace, and defining that fall as someone in the working class.
I've read a few of his books, and honestly I'm not convinced he's a great writer. Seems kinda like he's got a few tricks he just re-skins for his next book, with a lot of super boringly detailed paragraphs thrown in to help.
The CNN guy did what they almost always do, set up a false narrative as a strawman and then knock it down. Trump never said it was less lethal than the flu, at the moment, maybe it is maybe it isn't, we'll have to play the long game to know for sure, but what Trump said was "in most populations far less lethal". As usual Trump isn't a master wordsmith, and they twisted it, but I'm pretty certain he was saying "The China virus is far less lethal (than we thought) in most populations." Which is 100% accurate. Its only super deadly in the very high age ranges.
Spliced in a Christian phrasing, anyone who would put another belief system before God shouldn't consider himself a Christian. To any true Christian God always comes first. All those children who disagree should either be expelled or disregarded and corrected. BLM is no excuse.
God fucking dammit. I finally decided to start watching this show, I was enjoying it just finished episode 3 and now go and read this fucking thread...Why can't we just have good entertainment anymore? This country is going to turn into China REAL quick if this shit keeps up.
I see your points, and if they rework 230 in the ways THEY want it reworked, you're correct. However what people have been saying forever now, is that the censorship needs to stop, especially by giant websites who pretend to be politically neutral. 230 needs to be a privilege that can be revoked by a court. You don't have to shutter every website online, just make a case that they aren't acting in good faith, and that 230 shouldn't apply. Its that simple. If you can demonstrate that a website is claiming neutrality while acting in bad faith, you take it from them. Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, they all act as publishers while insisting they're not. They're abusing 230, don't pretend that isn't a problem.
Yeah that makes more sense. Good point. I'll have to keep an eye out for that stuff from now on.
