No one in the entire field of politics really gives a shit about anything except his ambition.

You can never just 'vote' and assume that things are going to work out. Unfortunately, because the one thing I want is to not have to deal with politics. Wouldn't it be great to have a system where no matter who's in office, he can't screw with you, and just takes care of the ship of state?

Did the clip cut off before the end? All I heard was the moderator talking over him with her obnoxious fried voice, not cut him off.

They probably expected Vance to just sit there and take it like a meek puppy, rather than be combative when they present their lies.

I thought Vance was an excellent pick on the substance. In fact, of the final candidates, he was my favorite. I wasn't sure he was the best pick on the politics, but I'm happy to have been wrong if I was.

She left voluntarily. It's not because the Washington Compost started to have journalistic integrity all of a sudden.

It's American propaganda. I don't like a bunch of imperialists in Washington trying to control the world because the world has made its no-good financial system its single point of failure.

I do believe Iran doesn't want to escalate, but do you seriously believe that Israel is "trying to kill as many people as possible"? If so, they're very incompetent because even a blind man could kill more.

All lines of reasoning lead to war in the neocon line of 'thinking'.

Ukraine wins a victory: we need to send them more aid to help them win!
Ukraine is losing: quick, send them more aid before they lose completely!

Obviously, when you are the big kid on the block, you can. Look at how the US has been taking a swing at every country in the world with no meaningful retaliation.

The missiles coming from Iran are not 'your tax dollars'. It's their money that the US stole using sanctions.

As you say, which is why I labeled it 'rumor'. I did think it was too funny to ignore.

Seems like it has been deleted now, so unfortunately, we won't be hearing about the fighting in Bidenograd from the media.

Not that I know any better, but it seems to me that the code base is indeed different, but that they query the same the database.

All with all, I'd rather have a domain than not have one. People are still free to visit the site through the communities.win view.

2
AntonioOfVenice 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't, I think DoM does - but AFAIK the domain is just a different view on the same thing. So even if they shut down the domain, it won't affect the communities.win

I mean, not to compare the two, but he's almost as old as Biden. You could already see the decline in his speech compared to how extraordinarily well-spoken he was in the early 1990s.

After 9 years of ceaseless attacks, fake investigations, indictments and now two assassination attempts, you'd have to be a man of steel to not be affected. The wonder is that he has endured so long.

Which of the guests are you objecting to specifically?

4
AntonioOfVenice 4 points ago +4 / -0

Lecturer I believe. As I understand it, and I'll fully admit my understanding is quite poor, you need to have a Master's Degree to teach at a university and a doctorate to actually be a professor.

In his partial defense, I don't think he's that bad of an interviewer, and his guests are quite varied - Joe Rogan said that he would NOT invite Trump. I chuckle when I hear people describe him as smart, but that may just be because he's so uncharismatic and because he doesn't speak well - I doubt I could earn a a technical MSc at any university, let alone MIT.

It's hard to place European parties on an American spectrum. Economically, they would probably be center-left.

-6
AntonioOfVenice -6 points ago +2 / -8

I won't argue with you because it's pointless because I know who you are.

It doesn't matter who I am. Can you explain how it's in the interests of Europe and Europeans to be anti-Jew?

What I will say is this for anyone observing the conversation. Take a mental note. In 10 years, reevaluate where we are and the "progress" society has made. When in 10 years, we still haven't fixed the problems and it seems things are getting worse not better, remember this conversation thread. That is all.

Things never get better. You're not exactly a prophet for pointing that out. Of course, blaming it on 'the Jews' is... interesting.

I'm also aware of what happened to the AFD's polling immediately after the formation of the BSW was announced and the German media went all in on contrasting and attacking both parties. A significant number of BSW voters would have voted AFD in their absence.

Judging by the polling, not that many. Certainly not enough to change the results meaningfully. Which is why I point out that it's good to have two to appeal to different groups, rather than one.

Wagenknecht and her regional leaders chose to rule out a coalition with the AFD, the only other party that agrees with them on both of those issues, and instead pursue government formation with the establishment parties that have proven track records on both issues that are fundamentally at odds with the BSW's stated values.

Well, let's see what happens. I think it will be easier on the Land level as the issues of Ukraine and immigration are mostly not Land issues.

AntonioOfVenice -6 points ago +2 / -8

Oh no, "merely" an anti-immigration party saving Europe rather than indulging your anti-Jew obsession.

Why should I care about your anti-Jew obsession again?

AntonioOfVenice -6 points ago +1 / -7

The important question is whether they oppose the invasion of Europe.
