How did we ever get sports all tied up in schools anyway? It's totally misplaced. I never realized how much better until I started understanding how the Europeans did sport with the local clubs and all from little kids all the way up to adults. Way better concept than making it part of school.
It's a misplaced idea, I agree. We need to drill into kids and teenagers good fitness and exercise habits that will serve them well throughout life and hopefully combat the obesity problem we have in the US...not teach them how to play worthless games that will have no bearing on them once they leave school.
our universities dont need to raise money from sports.
US schools don't raise money from sports (at least the overwhelming majority). In fact, for most schools, athletics are a drain on their finances. American education would get cheaper and likely better for everyone if we cut out college sports, especially football because it is far and away the most expensive.
The Knight Commission says Division I schools with football spent $91,936 per athlete in 2010, seven times the spending per student of $13,628. Division I universities without football spent $39,201 per athlete, more than triple the average student spending.
That's crazy. It makes it even more insane that there was a debate some years ago about actually paying college athletes.
Yet when students protest about the price of tuition, they NEVER mention how much sports shit costs them.
And quite frankly, grade school made me despise sports for the most part. Sure, you phys.ed. dickhead, let the class bullies choose the teams, great fucking idea, shitstain faggot who watched kids' butts as we did toe-touches, ick.
People who complain about college tuition are fucking retarded. Leftists government forced the banks to give you a stupid loan, and leftists colleges responded by jacking up tuition to pay for wildly escalating "administration costs" aka paying leftists to head up diversity, inclusion, and equity departments. It's all a big rent-seeking scam.
Not to mention all the schools started competing with each other for who had the nicest gyms and on-campus housing. The dorm I stayed in was built in the 60s and was just painted reinforced cinder block. 2 people to a room the size of a prison cell; 60 guys shared a bathroom. Now it's all giant complexes of 4-bedroom apartments, and guaranteed those won't last 40 years without significant renovation or repair.
So, how would this make people who complain about it retarded? College tuition is majorly inflated beyond a reasonable level, no matter what chain of events caused it.
Frankly, I think we are all dumber for having gone to university, unless you are studying one of the hard sciences.

that because in other places the state pays asignificant amount, our universities dont need to raise money from sports.

That's true. Though personally i am more worried about the fact that universities have become outright indoctrination centers these days.
