We've been losing the culture war for a long time. Orwell had difficulty publishing animal farm because all the publishers were commies. Earl Browder bragged to his fellow CPUSA members that they had absolute control of print media in the 30s. At the time, their bane was pirate radio.
They maintain positions that have maximum grifting potential while shielded from affecting the bottom line. They do the localization, not the programming, writing, etc. That's why they try to promote themselves as "consultants" and "sensitivity readers". The most amount of harm with the least amount of blame.
So they care more about innoffensive terms than actually paying attention to translations. “Healing Weapon Boost” for Hero weapon boosting? Not to mention how amateurish the scripting and direction have been, like they’re by people who don’t have a good grasp on English?

You get a miniature helper character called an Auxiliary that can run collection quests for you. They're supposed to be little robots without any sentience. They typically referred to the player as "Master". Well, now they refer to you as "Handler"...
The term "blacklist" has been changed to "blocklist".
Even censoring common words now? Why don't they just advocate for removing those words from the dictionary whilst they are at it? That's the direction they seem to be moving in. And removing the barrier between the hot spring area? so they think males should be able to go in to females hot springs then?
