Do you have a race track near where you live? Do you IRL know someone who races you could throw some coin at as a sponsor? Whatever money you would spend on watching pro racing would go a lot further given to a local driver.

Something I find myself thinking a lot is "less Little League, more Sandlot". We as a people have lost the ability to self-organize, despite it never being easier to do so. It's a skill I think we need to re-learn, because I don't see the current situation of us being "strangers in a strange land" changing anytime soon.
