I'm pretty sure that site is satire.
I so hope you are correct but if I go to their home page I see nothing about being satire and actually dedicated to animals.
Doesn't matter, if Bee has proved anything is that the article won't be satire in like a week anyway.
If you have the stomach to read the article and author description. He is:
crazy as fuck and claims POC have invented domestic dogs without proper evidence and white people are culturally appropriating
he is a feminist - says "relationship between dog and woman" randomly and in positive context and without making any sens. Not to mention men have been closer to dogs then women since they were out on long journeys with cattle or sheep and need it them for protection or out hunting etc. But I may be wrong.

This has to be a parody. If you go to Education, they are offering classes for children that include "up close encounters with our wildlife". Next to it is a picture of a grizzly bear. No way a legit organization would be tone-deaf enough to make that juxtaposition.
That restores my faith in humanity slightly but still not convinced it is not true.

Considering recent gene-based research has suggested that dogs began splitting from the European grey wolf - and from apparently only ONE long-standing population of them - about 44,000 years ago, I'd say the dog is probably a product of the European breed of human.
And was a co-culprit in the extinction of a lot of late ice-age megafauna. Of course humans would have been living in what would essentially have been mobile hamlets, with 50-150 humans, and probably half as many dogs with them. Of course teams of men - with their packs of wolf-like dogs - would have gone after the largest "game" around. The instinct never left, as evidenced by the elephant-hunting craze of the late Victorian era.
