Can anyone at this point rationally argue that there is not a deliberate and concerted effort by our governments and institutions to undermine our sense of community and social cohesion?
Seeing those photos of schoolchildren fills me with hatred for those responsible and anger that they almost certainly won't receive punishment commensurate with the damage they're causing to society.
Look at the bright side of that pic though, some kids brought home lunches. There was a recent wave in the education industry trying to stamp out home lunches to be replaced with mandatory school food.
If I had school children right now, I'm sure I'd sure be looking at alternate education options. The Department of Education directed public schools in America are a broken system.
People should absolutely not send their children to public school if they have the means. But that doesn't absolve public officials and administrators of their responsibility for the harm they're causing.
This just makes me want to do it more. I am not a hugger generally but I have already started shaking hands with people purely out of spite since that faggy elbow bullshit started. Turns out, most people don't give a shit about the commie cough.
I'd taken up bowing. Nothing obnoxious, just a lowering of the head. Did so years ago after I realized that despite me getting older and ostensibly weaker more and more of my handshakes felt like grabbing a bag of rotten fruit. I've always been careful to not go past "firm" but at some point I just got tried of having to treat people like their arms ended in Fabergé eggs.
So now I have my contrarian nature pushing me to start handshaking again. It's annoying but I mostly ignore it because I don't want those fruit bags again. (But I sure as fuck ain't doing that elbow stupdity.)
Ugh, my mom's a nurse so I understand that they're a vital part of the medical process, but why do they think they have a better handle on virology than the Laymen?

If you're going to do it like this, what's the point of even re-opening schools? You might as well just keep them at home.
Finally, homeschoolers won't be the most socially awkward kids any more!
There's this one as well.

On the plus side, social distancing has crushed the ability to MeToo people.
