This whole no context is acceptable, unless you are of a specific background is stupid. Getting rid of context destroys human conversation completely and I fully believe that that is the goal of this. It can be argued that people should not say the word “nigger” but if nobody should say it than absolutely nobody should say it. You cannot determine something to be okay when we do it, but that is how it works now.

Getting rid of context destroys human conversation completely

Context is why "no context is acceptable, unless you are of a specific background."

Preventing the use of a word in an academic setting, such as a BBC article about an allegedly racist attack prevents knowledge of that context being spread to other individuals, so they understand why “nigger” has such a connotation. Childish euphemisms such as “N-word” detract from it’s historical significance as a slur and it should absolutely be allowed to discussed in such a context. Disallowing any context would mean that it is impossible to discuss the negative history of the word because you are unable to use that word.

Shows how we've actually gone backwards in society when a journalist (loosely used with BBC) can't even say word to convey how serious a particular assault is -- and at the request of the family.
The UK, particularly London, have become another laughingstock of the world. The policy and decisions coming from there the last decade have defied common sense.

I'm sure a lot of people will disagree, but I don't give a damn about people using nigger even as a racial slur. So fucking what if someone says it? Are we going to get up in arms about it with literally any other slur? Clearly that answer has been a no, otherwise insults would've died out long ago.

Chink, Guido, Cracker, are all racial slurs that don't get anywhere near the apprehension that people feel compared to nigger. And I'm sure someone will bring up slavery. News flash, turns out that discrimination wasn't exclusive towards black people, nor are they innocent of doing the same thing. Treatment of Irish, Chinese railroaders, and Japanese internment camps are all other examples that happened in the US, just like slavery of black people.

Honestly, so many people avoid that word. Meanwhile they say some other vulgar things themselves without thinking much of it. It's just something that a lot of people are taught at a young age, but never ask why it's that way. Because if you did, you'd have to wonder why its that one specifically while others aren't treated in the same way, despite the history relating to them as well.

"Good evening. Redacted today in redacted as redacted rocked the nation's capital. Redacted are reporting redacted dead and redacted injured. We can now head over to redacted on location in redacted to get a clearer picture of events." cut to black screen.

It said at the time that the decision, which was supported by K-Dogg's family, had not been taken lightly and that the BBC understood people would be upset.

Bahahahaah they called his fucking family to ask if they could say 'nigger' because that's what the guys who ran him over said.

That's absolutely insane.
