No, that spyware gets installed as an agent on your operating system and collects far more than whatever the monitor company's spyware could ever hope to. It's far more dystopian than whatever you imagine, I promise.
Corporations do all that nonsense too. I once looked at my DNS logs for corporate laptop connected to my WiFi. Starting searching for what it was reaching out to. It's shocking. 24/7 phoning home telemetry and the volume DNS requests from a idle corporate laptop was more than the entire rest of my home network combined. I ended up setting up a specific Wifi and VLAN just to connect that crap to and then DNS blocking everything I could. I'm sure it still goes thru when it's on VPN, but I don't leave on when working. They also run everything at a snails pace. If I recall the last time I checked it had nearly if not the best CPU of any device in my entire house and there's so much bullshit scanning it runs like a 10 year old budget machine.
I have been on teams that are in charge of both deploying those agents and consuming the data that comes back from them. I promise you that some of what is out there is far worse than most people imagine it to be.
the government uses usb monitors in government offices because it enables them to "monitor" government employees with spyware mandated by the state
