Steve Jobs' father was a Syrian Muslim. If you look at pictures you can get a pretty good idea for his genetic background (Arab, Levantine, Greek, etc -- he's very Mediterranean/European looking). Jobs had no relationship with his bio father.
Jobs was not a Muslim. He was a counterculture Zen Buddhist humanist spiritual type if anything, but once he stopped being a Lutheran, I doubt organized religion or had much of any impact on his life.
I can't say I had ever heard the "Steve Jobs Muslim friends with Allen Dulles" conspiracy theory before, and I can't even find a single hit online claiming any connection between Dulles and Jobs, or Job's bio dad, or Job's adoptive dad.
Difference. Jews, atheist or not, are Jews. Jews, whether American, Israel, British, Iraqi, whatever, are Jews first. There's no racial component to Islam or Christianity.

You can convert to Islam, but there is always a racial hierarchy to it. Arab muslims are going to be looked on more favorably than Indonesian or White muslims.
Ok, I think you're right, but with a slight nit -- some of the racial animosities go way back! Turks and Persians definitely look down on Arabs! (even though Arabic is the primo language)
Yeah, that is a good point. The Arabic of the Quran is supposed to be the LITERAL, EXACT word of god, and Arabic is important to all Muslims for that reason.

I would push back only because you have to speak and understand Arabic to read the Quran.
