The black Irish were/are a thing, so that's not the best choices for sides.
Yeah but black Irish doesn't refer to black people.
Yeah black Irish just means Irish people who have dark eyes, dark hair etc and white skin or tan skin.
That's why I capitalise Black. I mean a specific group of people, not a descriptor.
I have been trying so hard to convince boomers of this point for several years now to no avail.
