I’m on Apple now but I had Android for ages. I’ve had Motorola, HTC, Nokia, and a couple Samsungs. Negative experiences limited to just the Samsung.
Next phone if I get Android I’m just ordering just some total Chinese brand thing. I’m tired of these brands offering premium pricing but the full Indian call center and AI bot support experience I can get for less from AliExpress.
I also don’t kid myself that it took a Jewish chip before I’m being spied on.
Oh that’s right they are doing something else now. The one I had was an Android Nokia from their little spell of those. I broke that one of my own doing. Nokia 7 I think it was. It’s a shame those didn’t catch on more. It ran near raw Android and was quite a nice quality device build construction wise for its super budget price.
I paid like $500 for an S25U not long ago. Just have to purchase at the right time with the right deals.
I do agree with these companies not being very open with Roms and the like, but fewer phones are easy to unlock and root these days.
My phone prior to this was a OnePlus 8 and it was super easy to unlock and customize... But I've heard that they made it much harder if not impossible on the newer models.
I hope Samsung stays clean.
Spoiler...
Haha good luck.

Not much choices for major brands, Google, Motorola and the rest are all Chinese brands
Seems like over priced hipster phone
The best phone I know of it a Pixel with GrapheneOS.
