"Burgers?"
The country has been brain drained for decades as most exceptional talent moves to the US while we get flooded by shitty third world immigration to prop up GDP. This house of card is finally starting to crumble and their big economic move is to... make AI inclusive? This country is doomed.
Of course. They always double down. Anything else would be admitting they were wrong, and that ain't going to happen.
I asked an LLM to identify woke propaganda in it :
Gender-Based Analysis Plus
“The Government of Canada commits to applying Gender-Based Analysis Plus…”
This is a broad federal DEI policy lens, not an AI-specific technical requirement.
Equity-seeking groups / systemic barriers
“disproportionate exposure and impacts of AI harms to equity-seeking groups…” “systemic barriers experienced by racialized communities, persons living with disabilities…”
This is related to AI bias, but framed in DEI language rather than concrete AI standards.
Indigenous-led AI / self-determination
“support and amplify Indigenous-led AI initiatives…” “support Indigenous self-determination over how AI is built and used…”
Some AI relevance exists, but parts about cultural expression, land management, heritage, and linguistic vitality are broader policy goals.
Canadian identity, culture, and inclusion
“Ensure AI reflects Canadian identity, culture, and inclusion…” “our customs, our history, and our heritage…”
This is more nation-building/cultural policy than AI strategy.
French language and official-language requirements
“AI systems deployed within the government will perform equally well in both official languages.”
This is AI-adjacent, but also language-policy driven.
Women’s Program / female-dominated sectors
“accelerate AI adoption across female-dominated sectors…” “confronting AI-fueled online abuse that disproportionately targets women.”
6.66? Next you’ll tell me it shows up 33 total times.
