It's a bold strategy, but also a bit of turning point: if this fails then it's a positive sign that the average Sony fanboy still hasn't converted to the "modern audience. But if it does do well, then... well... it's going to be bleak.

Freya was the required DEI representation of women. She played it well. A bitchy, sulky, conniving cunt of a woman who harangues and henpecks you the whole game. Clearly this character was made by a woman, because they clearly understood women on a deep level.
Yep, that definitely would have worked. Also being able to play different characters through flashbacks that you unlock throughout the game as you uncover the history would have been a neat feature.
But like with every other male-led franchise, this latest game is a demoralisation campaign to have a woman usurp a man's role, and to make it lame and gay.
