I realised this around 2016 whem they explicitely lied about the James DaMoore/Goole story.

It literally took me 15 minutes to find and read his memo and prove they were lying.

As far as I know, they never retracted, so I just assumed they were fully of shit ever since.

Exactly!
Long ago, the CBC (particularly Radio) has some semblance of balance and trust. It was "only" 75% hard-left leaning back in the day. Today it's over 97%. Occasionally a non-leftist idea slips in... not very often though.
