What did they do?
Mandatory "I love jews" segment in the last act where you must protect your greatest ally from evil white christians who want to kill them for no reason. To facilitate this arc, they introduced an imaginary jew quarter into a city thst, historically, had no such thing at the time.
Mandatory "haha white man dumb and christian-gay" segment from unkillable doctor, lawyer, engineer black guy, who is also a muslim. Gets away with shit talking everything you know and stand for, and the player can't even gainsay him, let alone kill him. IIRC, he also cucks you on one if the romance routes.
"Secret and hidden" gay romance ootion with a returning character who was your bro from the first game, and who was so heterosexual you routinely had to bail him out for the trouble he got into while womanizing. The "secret" to starting this route is to choose empathetic responses in a few key dislogues after pivotal scenes, since men can't be friends and bond-brothers, only butt-buddies.
Gaslighting and lying about everything when the leaks first happened. Antagonizing the audience for daring to complain after the game came out.
I try to be more tolerant then "one drop spoils the stew", but this is a couple of gallons of liquid shit added to a couple if quarts if stew.

What was also "funny" if you played the game by avoiding any romance the older ex single mom which also freed you from prison forces herself on you in a cutscene towards the end of the game before you leave the sieged castle. So that you cant even be faithful to Teresa from the first game if you wanted to.
There's also a second gay one night stand. Also, the ability to get drugged and raped by a woman and then apologizing for it.
