This all hinges in the fact that we diverted the water from the spawning points originally with upstream diversions. If it were a natural occurrence then it would be a non issue. Also this isnt about overreach or federal entitlement or animals over humans.
The government agencies MUST follow laws and statutes, whether they want to or not. It is their sole purpose for existence. The endangered wildlife act REQUIRES them to do it. Thats not them going "haha fuck humans" its them saying "this is the law. We are the agency that ensures compliance. If you'd like us bot to please change the law or statute."
Amazing how that law gets followed and all a three letter had to do to get a federal US Attorney to give Epstein a sweetheart plea deal against said prosecutors wishes for trafficking American minors internationally against federal law was to say that he worked for intelligence.

The reason its happening now is because someone DID sue them and said they were culpable and breaking the EWA. They proved harm and that then forces the fix. The ACOE doesnt do ANYTHING proactively. They are told what to do, either by admin or by judges.

Nigger, dozens have sued them. Not least of which is SPAWN. AND there are dozens of endangered wildlife acts both federal and state. The one in California is the one being used currently.

Big brain logic there. You can start with the fact that this population of fish wasn't listed as "threatened" until 1999. Then, I'm assuming here, they tried other things before proposing such a drastic course of action. Which resulted in a lawsuit, which is why you only found out about it today. The thing you have to realize is reality exists, is dynamic, and keeps chugging along even when not observed by you.
I say "population" because it's only listed as such in a handful of specific locations. The species itself is not endangered.
