Yes, I've noticed this too. I know a guy who is a blue collar laborer. He has 0 interest in politics besides hates taxes and always seems to be getting some sort of fine for some traffic violation. He almost brings up jews every conversation now. This forum is actually another prime example. Anyone who has been here since the beginning knows you couldn't openly talk about jews like you can now. Mods probably gave up because it was starting to come up in every conversation.
Something is definitely brewing. I have a feeling when the next president is elected, things are going to go full censorship/crackdown at a level we've never seen before. This website has turned into the… non-deranged (?) version of ConPro, which did go off the rails as the old user base left after 2021. It’s crazy how much it has changed, as has the wider internet over that time.
That might just be the life cycle of a moderately open forum. 8chan went through something similar to ConPro and KIA2. You have an early, exploratory phase, where people are debating and trying to find theories with good explanatory power and figuring out where the limits of the conversation are. Then things start to settle to concensus and the theories/limits are put to the test. Longtime users and esoteric posters start to dwindle. New users join who didn't experience the struggle and take the liberties the forum now enjoys for granted. That flattens conversation fuether and more old timers leave, until it's just the judenposting board.
Anytime there is a lack of censorship the theme of conversations on any platform thre noticing comes out and people start idolizing Hitler. Look at Twitter for a short time before grok got reconditioned. This is why they are obsessed with controlling any and every space. They pretty much nuked PDW rather than let even mild noticing occur. If elections/government weren't controlled the way they are, a national socialist party would manifest organically pretty quick. Hell, Australia had one that they killed because it was becoming extremely popular.
The head mod of conpro demolished the sub on purpose. Conpro was like how this place is now. It started off as something else, then people got redpilled on the jews and it became popular, but it was a self-improvement sub. And it became a real fruitful breeding ground of ideas because users of so many banned reddit subs came, voat members came after voat shutdown, poal members came after poal collapsed, 4chan members came after 4chan gayed out. So many shill accounts that suspiciously stopped posting right around the time USAIDS lost its funding. u/Germany and u/Brannvesen (whose name literally means "Brigade" in Swedish btw) are two examples I can readily name, who had alts at the ready to upvote their posts and downvote anyone who called them out. It has completely changed into something utterly alien to how it was originally. Now it feels like it's being occupied by an entirely different community.
It's not just this forum though. It's happening to a lot of places online as described by the OP.
However here in particular had a lot of ConPro users come over after ConPro kind of died due to the core usergroup leaving over some sort of drama.
