I'll give props to at least one of their prominent commentators for pretty bluntly laying out(and backing it with data IIRC) just how goddamn many problems we're facing right now are outright solved by simply taking women's rights away. That fixes all this birthrate stuff overnight, no joke. Anyone who claims to be concerned about birthrates but isn't placing women's subjugation on the negotiating table isn't serious about solving the problem.
I think a lot of people agree with this, but the cultural changes that would be necessary in order to even consider doing that politically would be monumental - the kind of thing that would only be brought about by crisis.
