Ngl I don't have super in depth knowledge of the history of slavery but in my surface level education it's been my observation that many times slavery only ended when the people/nation/empire doing it, collapsed entirely, or there was an uprising of slaves who killed their masters.
I may be right in thinking that whites abolishing slavery themselves fighting with bloody violence to end it is very unique
Slavery etymologically comes from "slav", but you don't hear slavic countries demanding reparations.
Btw, arab countries have such low black population because they had the foresight to cut their slaves' balls off
Chinese did this too, their slaves were eunuchs.
