Ngl I don't have super in depth knowledge of the history of slavery but in my surface level education it's been my observation that many times slavery only ended when the people/nation/empire doing it, collapsed entirely, or there was an uprising of slaves who killed their masters.

I may be right in thinking that whites abolishing slavery themselves fighting with bloody violence to end it is very unique
