What makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside is the knowledge that as soon as the last boomer dies, so does the evangelical church. Absolutely no one else believes that dispensational shit. NO ONE.
I had boomer parents. Mom is still alive, but fading fast, and dad died 7 years ago. Boomers cannot die fast enough.
If anyone wants proof that the boomers are the worst generation in history, just observe how their own children/grandchildren speak of their passing. You won't find the deaths of any previous or subsequent generation being met with so much barely-contained glee.
All my millennial friends are starting to come to the same conclusion about their boomer parents. The parents seem unable to care about the kids. They don't ask personal questions about the kids lives as if they care. They're always telling the kids that it's their fault for everything and taking contrarion positions to argue against their kids. They never take the kids side and they never show genuine care about how the kid is doing. Boomers completely lack any capability for empathy, care or compassion. Their idea of compassion is stealing their kid's resources to give to a government that hates them and a bunch of drugs addicts and immigrants that also hate them.
I think a lot of people are just tolerating their boomer parents because they're family but there's a lot of people who really can't wait until these boomers, parents included, hurry up and die.
Saw this in my own family. Was the caregiver for a Boomer for well over a decade, and received almost no recognition, thanks, or praise from them or their other Boomer kinfolk. But was routinely told that I needed to get a better job/house/life so I could take better care of the Boomer.

Details? I take care of boomers for work and its a mixed bag. My family basically doesn't care about each other in the slightest tho.
Not to be that guy but patricide was fairly common in ancient times to secure inheritance etc.
She's the "pastor" of a large Latino church. It's a bit different of a demo than the typical boomers.
