A KC-135 crash is not survivable, if the crew could not bail out in flight (highly unlikely) they are dead.
About that...
Yea, I read about that on the thread r/airforce has on the incident.
On a KC-135, the only people who might be able to get out quickly are the people in the cockpit, and their only exit door is basically right in front of the wing.
So just equipment used too long without proper maintenance or literally one little thing out of place causing an accident?
Regardless, hope the crew bailed out safe.
Given this description:
It seems likely that there was a collision. Refueling is a tricky business, and while it may be possible to design better systems the physics of it are always going to be an issue.
Iraqi resistance claim they launched a SAM at the thing.
Lol I'm sure they did claim that
They launched SAM Hyde. He got away with it again.
Could also have been some kind of fuckup during a refueling
The lion's share of blood and treasure comes from boots on the ground reconstruction. We'll see if that happens
Stop 🛑 😭 this 💢 😡 madness! Ground troops ⭐💪 now! 😁
