Chess is such a shitty boring “sport” (can you even call it that?). Even my boy bobby fischer called it shit after he completely dominated it for years.
It’s honestly unreal how much time and effort people put into playing such a bad game. Mind blowing.
Sure, but you can make millions doing anything at the top level... So many better things to dedicate your life to IMO.
its about predicting your opponent, and reacting to his move, something most brownoids can't possbily do (you know, use their frontal lobe)
But it isn't anymore. At the highest levels, you literally just memorize the first half of the game. Then after that you just have the computer tell you the optimal strategies for mid and late game, and memorize those too... Because no human can beat "stockfish" the chess engine, so all the best players just sit there and memorize what the program would do.
At least prior to computers, the chess players would need to actually read chess books and think about the optimal moves themselves, but with computers, that's all sub optimal. Why figure anything out if you can just let the computer do the thinking for you? Because you'll never beat it, and you'll never beat humans that are using it, so you're forced to use it.
Ultimately, it's too simple of a game that chess engines have effectively "solved" it.
I play chess sometimes. Yeah, I don't consider it a sport but the game is complex, and that's why it remains popular to this day. You can play it for your whole life, and still not have mastered all its aspects. Speaking on whether it's a bad game, it isn't; however, some of the rules are dumb, admittedly. Many of them don't make sense. For example, if you trap the king, it's declared a draw. Imagine that -- you have the king completely surrounded, and he can't move, so it's called a draw. What? Bullshit.
There really should be a distinction between Stalemate (board state has not changed for 50 turns) and Stalemate (no valid moves can be made). The former is a standoff with no signs of adjustment, an actual stalemate, while the latter is a loss dressed up as a tie.
Like with most games, it's fun if the people playing it are extremely casual and no one takes it too seriously. As soon as people start to sperg out about the game such that they min/max it and play it to death, it becomes unfun.

you can make millions if you play competatively
every sport becomes legendary once money and prestiege is involved
also is a White man's game, i'm no pro but i can definitely understand why we dominate it so well

Would your opponent have more or less concentration if they hadn't had breakfast this morning?
TOPKEK
And also brings in women wanting their "fair share".
trannies too
the industry is so fcking pozzed that basically every E-sport is filled with them
