I acknowledge that you should have invented guns and rifles like the white man did.
Had you have done so, you could have kept your land. But you didn't. You had nearly 500 years to invent guns.
They were too busy spending those 500 years stealing that land from each other over and over using pointy sticks. But it only really counts as 'theft' when it's a White person doing it to a brown, that's when ownership gets locked in permanently.
Guns? They didn't even figure out the wheel. Probably only discovered fire by accident.
If they'd figured out systems of government as complex as the city-state, they could have united and driven Europeans off by sheer numbers.
It's hard to over-estimate just how primitive these people were.
