No wonder retro gaming is a thing
Buy a decently new 1L/Tiny/Mini/Micro PC, install Batocera, enjoy everything up to the PS2/OG XBox era. A i5-12500 and iGPU can run all of that, though later XBox games might choke it a bit.

Even better, turns out that Batocera has Kodi built in, so you can have one box be your retro game machine and your media PC.

Memory unlocked. Never played but vaguely remember
Dosbox, Scummvm, even buying direct from gog. Very accessible. Some of the older games can be challenging to play today. Some are just as good as ever.
