I was a big WoW nerd all the way from classic 1.0.5-ish through the end of Wrath of the Lich King. I tried Cataclysm, but something about it just put me entirely off.
Also, is anyone else here old enough to have a 1.0 box set with the manual? I distinctly remember Dwarves being able to be Mages when I first started, and it going away at some point, but everyone insists I'm misremembering. I swear my old manual listed Mage as an available class for Dwarves, but I lost it years and years back, and can't check.
I've played since early vanila but I don't remember dwarfs being mages. They were priests but mages you had only gnomes and humans on alliance and undead and trolls for horde.
I may be wrong as it was a lifetime ago.
According to AI:
Although Dwarf Mages were present in the beta and even listed in the original Vanilla WoW game manual, they were removed before the official launch
I posted awhile back that classic has more weekly engagement than retail anymore, wow is a parody of itself to the point they’re putting out a NEW classic+ instead of fixing retail.
Remember all the backlash they got over Diablo Immortal being a shitty phone game? It made a $500m in micro-transactions the first year alone.
Hearthstone, a game no one talks about? When they introduce new shit, they can pull $19m in one month. They're averaging about $1.03 per active player per day.
Raids is 5th on the list and PVP didn't make the list.
Farming gear to become stronger and beat other guilds to a boss does not seem to be important either.
Is this World of Warcraft or Animal Crossing?
Only one of my friends keep playing it and even him is more on and off, story is dead.
For me Legion was the last good expansion.

Maybe Todd should rerelease skyrim without all the patches

Casuals and mobile users just keep feeding them.
Chinese?
At this point, the only kind of people who play MMOs are ERPers, Parsers and FOMO collectors.
