Here's the thing about history. No matter what great cultural revolution happens, it only ends up affecting overcrowded cities. Any new warlord knows better than to fuck with workforce and farmers and those who thought they could ended up causing holodomor or worse. This is why Communism and its variations are uniquely despised. Because they thought they could just fuck with food provides and expect no long term consequences. I was led to believe Covid was the end of days but turns out, my lowly TESCO worker status was worthy of a lofty title called "essential worker". I guess modern bolscheviks learned their lesson this time.
Pretty sure it was people in the country that were burning witches, getting farm machinery instead of having more children and currently use electricity and the internet just like everyone else. They're slower to adopt but still affected. During COVID people were arrested for walking in the woods and that recently happened again in Nova Scotia because they were allegedly worried about forest fires.
