To be fair this is marriage rates. When you’re playing for keeps everyone wants the most stable/ attractive option. I’m betting however if we did unwed single moms and there baby daddies Blacks would have a larger share, most black kids are born out of wedlock and the abandonment rate for white women/ black male is over 90%.
That is fair to add, but also shows how much interracial relationships would cease overnight if all welfare safety nets were removed leaving family as the only option.
Yeah, there are a lot of variables not captured in this chart.
I guarantee that if you control for the population demographics of who people went to high school/college with or who just lives in their area, a lot of this variance normalizes.
