Even tho Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and some Power Ranger offshots and specials were good and I get nostalgic for at times Nothing beats the original Japanese show Super Sentai it was based on Especially the series Zyuranger its much more creepy offbeat and bizarre but that's its charm
Rita Repulsa tho decent for its English language counterpart was merely a poor imitation of Super Sentai's Bandora the Witch played brilliantly by actress Machiko Soga she was much more evil and funny then Rita could be
And even then, didn't Witch Bandora actually have a sympathetic reason for going against them as she did? (The dino god sentencing her young son to death after he accidentally smashed a dino egg or something?)
I'm not super familiar with all the Sentai lore I'm actually only half way into the Zyuranger myself after finding it on Tubi a year 'n half ago when I started watching MMPR and other series that I remembered watching as a kid in 90's and early 00's Zyuranger only has 50 episodes I believe I probably would of had it watched by now but my current living state isn't the best to watch shit at the volume I want :(
Its been a real stressful year lol and also watching a thousand other things but that's very interesting I didn't know that! in Power Rangers so much context is lost from both translation and dumbing it down for a Western audience making it less weird or scary for kids
The Japanese Sentai Zyuranger Bandora is a much more intense villainess she hates humanity more and wishes that many people especially children die in a monsters attack on Tokyo /Earth had the Power Rangers not save them from it
The video game (Battle for the Grid) was actually pretty good. The story is apparently based on a comic book where Green Ranger never goes good but instead betrays Rita and conquers the world. Even crosses dimensions to kill his good self (among other rangers). I enjoyed it as someone who only watched the OG as a kid.
Haven't played it yet its that fighter game right? I have enough of those in my backlog that Power Rangers beat em up Ritas Revenge looks like alot of fun too but that's cool lore bro
I liked Marvel vs. Capcom years ago but I suck I'm not very skilled at fighters I get bored of them quick Kill la Kill is the last fighter I bought Yeah thanks I'll check it
Have you seen The dark power ranger made by the same company. I can't remember the name but it's translates to Wolf Fang and is also the name of Samurai Showdown in Japan.

A dino chased him off a cliff and killed him so she sold her soul to Satan for power so she could get revenge on all dinosaurs.

Yeah it's a fighter, MvC tag fighter style. It's actually really fun if you like that kind of stuff.
