it's not a fetish, it's israel. Guilt and sympathy for Jews is Israel's primary means of income. when the guilt runs dry, they throw a few more unsuspecting Jews into the meat grinder cameras rolling to get the aid to flow again.

there was a very good poast writeup how the jews need guilt programming to desenstize them to violence/genocide against non-jews so they keep drilling these holohoax stories/pogrom stories to young kikelings as young as 6 because their whole religion/culture (or lack thereof) is basically based on death, revenge and genocide.

I'll never believe that people feel 'guilt' or pretend to do so except when it benefits them. Basically everyone here is convinced that Europeans 'feel guilty' about colonialism. I've never met anyone who feels guilty about that, nor even for present-day crimes that our governments commit like Iraq.
