Good point. Assuming they survive, I recommend sentencing people like this shooter to community service in the form of providing security for the Jewish community. That sounds like a great restorative justice program that would be very effective in combatting hate.

It took the police 20 minutes to respond, according to early reports. They had 4 officers THERE and more just 2 blocks away.
None acted until the hero (a Muslim as it turns out) did.
The entire force for that area should be on the carpet for this.

I would argue that they can have the exact same group protection that they advocate white people have.
Ironically? One of the heroes who helped stop one of the gunmen (A father and son team) was Muslim.
