I'd say the EU's are worse, Trump at least shut down the border stopping crossings by 99% and are ACTUALLY deporting people. Not to the scale yet required but still.
The only European countries that do better are Poland and Hungary, every other country is doing worse unless the cold literally keeps them out.
DHS stopped releasing deportation numbers months ago. Somalis are all over social media laughing about how not deported they are. America is barely above 50% anymore, far worse than any EU country.

It doesn't help that every month we have a new "this is the problem group now" situation arise that suddenly ICE and Trump need to pivot to in a new state. A few weeks ago it was Jeets and the Somali situation was barely acknowledged.
We certainly could be doing better, but we also only have so many agents trained up with a new "I'm going to be the DNC Chosen One" rando putting every roadblock possible as they go into each new state in force.
The Somali thing is just the start of another campaign to unseat Ilhan Omar. It has nothing to do with immigration. They'll arrest a small group of them, and they may not even end up deported.
If they wanted to maximize deportations, they would start in GOP controlled states like Florida and Texas. The whole point of their ICE deployment strategy is to generate a lot of buzz while accomplishing very little.

That's an effective strategy when you are running with a small handful of men versus tens of millions of targets. You hype things up, increase the fear of them, and make these people either self deport or go into hiding. My town has like 6 ICE agents who've done very little beyond paperwork, but the notion of "they could be coming for us next" has made notable differences in the overt illegal population. Businesses are now running on fumes, apartments are empty, and even roofing projects left half finished.
Again, we could be doing a lot better, but I think the reality of it is a lot better than we all think.
Omar committed immigration fraud. Unseating her should be as simple as making up a timeline of her divorcing her husband so she could marry another guy long enough to get him a visa before divorcing him and going back to her husband, then dragging her out of the country by her ankles.
