Early CGI? Current CGI is terrible.

As awful as the movies are Transformers is probably peak complexity. The classics that still stand up today (as mentioned elsewhere T2, Jurassic Park and LotR) I'd still consider king given the technology they were working with. Still prefer practical (The Thing) to anything else.
