you already have a free market, the too-big-to-fails have free reign to freely profit off of you and freely shut down all of your avenues for competition. take insulin for example: are you going to spend the hundreds of millions required to make a cheaper, less marked up alternative to the current sources, when there's already a well-established monopolist with all the industry connections you'll have to overcome?
You don't need 'industry connections' to make a chemical. The only reason there is a monopoly is because of patents -> government intervention
If I set up the bare minimum factory installation needed to produce insulin, it would be illegal because of safety rules and numerous other regs -> government intervention
So... why do we have to give up on it? Shouldn't we be fighting to have it back?
