Everyone needs an emergency fund. Ideally, you should have six months worth of expenses in your e-fund, or $1000 minimum if you're getting started. If you don't have an emergency fund, you're wrong.
Yes this kind of common sense financial advice should be taught in high school or even earlier. We have plenty of woke classes and topics that could be sacrificed for this without impacting anything of actual value being taught to children
