The Zoomer-haired lolbert is right! Government does work better when it's just a few guys in a room making all the decisions. In fact, if you really want to get things moving, we should make it a closed-door meeting with no oversight and no official record! And we should make it so their decisions are binding! In fact, since they're so efficient, I really don't see any need for them to have to constantly waste time and money running for reelection. Also, I don't really see the need for any mechanism to remove them from office, since they're clearly enlightened enough and mature enough to reach that decision for themselves. Go liberty!

Oh wait, instead of a couple of people behind closed doors, how about just one person behind closed doors. That’ll really simplify things!

That could still work out far better than what we have now. I'm willing to give a new monarchy a chance.

Well yeah, benevolent (and competent) monarchy is absolutely better than what we have now. But malevolent monarchy is significantly worse. The thing is it is getting bad enough where many people are happy to risk the latter for a chance at getting the former to fix the country.

Their blood is blue while ours is red. Therefore they are better than us.
