Well put, but I've got an issue with line. You jumped from information to facts. Information will be worthless and disposable, but most of it won't be facts. Discerning fact will become very difficult and that leads down two possible roads:
And while I'd like to think #1 is preferable, it's going to be used as a powerful tool for social control. That environment just begs for a Ministry of
TruthFacts.There will be a Centre of AI Forensics.
The State will determine which AI videos are fake and which "facts" are "true".
They will use this to do exactly as you say -- enact more oppressive social control.
State detractors can be placed in doctored videos and the COAIF can determine that those doctored videos are the "truth" to smear their name.
We've seen this happen already to a lesser extent in Canada with the truckers protest.
No one is going to believe anything they don't want to believe. I've had multiple encounters where I have confronted people with video evidence of an uncomfortable fact and they simply chose to see something else - in normie land even, not just on schizo sites like this. AI is going to make this behavior even easier.
And just imagine you're a kid growing up now, videos and photos that depict real events will be something you hear about from people with gray hair. You'll have no frame of reference to judge factuality.
