The judge has got to go but that is actually fairly reasonable. The way people are talking it sounded like he took a shot at Kavanaugh and missed. Unfortunately her statement will embolden other terrorists who might not chicken out. She probably wishes he had been shot so she could give a lenient sentence for that too.

Directly threatening a Supreme Court justice and showing up outside his house with a gun should be a life sentence at the very least.

It's been a while, but didn't he call the cops on himself and asked them to arrest him because he doubted his own self control but had enough morals to know that killing someone was wrong? No, I could understand leniency in a case like that.

Depends on who you believe. The defense says the guy had a change of heart organically after arriving at the home. The prosecution says he saw the Marshalls and called claiming to have a pyschotic break to help his legal case.
