Ideology isn't super common prior to the enlightenment (contrasted with Religion, sect, and cult). It's a bit different.
Religions tend to circle around something specific. Leftism is the idea set behind seizing power through resentment.
Yes, we can see that specific pattern replicated elsewhere, but it wasn't a large-scale belief system that people were required to adhere to at all levels.
Well, like I said, as long as there was that set of ideas. So if you're saying the enlightenment, let's go from there. Point is, leftists have always been violent terrorists.
Yeah, most people don't know about the socialist and anarchist terrorist bombings that were going on back then. For some reason, government schools aren't interested in covering that, aside from maybe claiming Sacco and Vanzetti were wrongfully convicted.
Of all the major terrorist attacks or offensives in history, here's the ones nobody talks about, and were all Leftwing:
Wall Street Bombing - 30 killed and over 100 wounded in the largest terrorist attack of it's time
Sterling Hall Bombing - 1 killed, but the Communist conspirators almost entirely got off. The primary conspirator served only 7 years, became a hot dog vendor, and said he'd do it again. It was the inspiration for the OKC bombing.
Burning of Kent State ROTC building - Attempt to murder 300 cadets while they slept, and is why the National Guard were at Kent State.
1954 Congressional Shooting - Puerto Rican Separatists attempted to machine gun the entire US Congress wounding 5 people
MOVE Firefight (1978) - Black Separatist Communist organization takes over a portion of Philadelphia in an insurrection and kills 1 police officers and wounds 13 others in a major gunbattle
MOVE Siege (1985) - The same group does the same thing, but this time after another major gunbattle, they are hit with an incendiary bomb to force them out of the building. You always hear about the bombing, but never why.
Attica Prison Hostage Crisis (1971) - 43 Killed, 42 hostages, 90 Wounded. Bloodiest prison "riot" that I can even think of in US history
And just to be clear only The Wallstreet Bombing is even referred to as a Leftist Terrorist attack on Wikipedia.
That's from the past 10 years.
Try the past 140.
Leftist violence is even worse, far more broad, and absolutely continuous.
Try the past [human history.]
It wasn't always called leftism, but as long as there was that set of ideas, they justified violence against their perceived opposition.
They're on the Right Side of History™, they can do whatever they like to us subhumans.
I think that's too broad.

Can't disagree with any of that.
Leftism is the political and cultural manifestation human evil. It didn’t start with muh Marxism.
Yes, it started with Rousseau and the Jacobins in France.
But it isn't just a manifestation of evil, it's a warped perspective on humans that inevitably generates evil.
