I understand the NA way of not judge too much on the looks and outfit, but the only way I give a pass to this guy debating wearing those clothes is if he has an IQ of 200+ and wipes the floor with everyone he has ever debated since he was a toddler
Your freedom to nonconformity is directly proportional to your success. Work an office job and want to be barefoot beneath your desk? You better be in the top half of achievers. Same office but want to wear ironed bermuda shorts? It's top quartile. A fursuit? Not only had you better be the best, but also be exemplary on top of it. "Dress like a hobo" is probably top 10% if you're not crowd-facing.
Unfortunately for this asshole, he IS crowd-facing. So appearances matter quite a bit more.
