Apparently the old white guy was not the shooter either. So who’s to say if and when the actual culprit is detained.
I've been hearing reports that at least a dozen students were all claiming to have shot him.
Which would mean it was premeditated and planned by a lot of people.
We can say for certain it wasn't an amateur who shot him.
Professionals shoot for center mass and fire more than once. Hollywood style headshots are the purview of amateurs.
Like as not it was a college student.
Targeting center mass doesn't ensure your target dies. Not even with multiple shots. Piercing your targets neck artery does. Kirk had no chance of surviving that shot. He was as good as dead before he even hit the ground.
But yes it could be that some random guy got supremely lucky. Maybe we'll know more once they catch the shooter. If they catch him.
