Oh I think it'll escalate beyond that. Remember we live in the digital age now, so the discourse progresses orders of magnitude more quickly and is hyper polarized. I think there's a very real chance we shoot right past segregation and start hearing much more unsavory solutions get floated. But yeah, we're going to hear segregation proposed at a minimum.

For the people who want a safe society, such solutions are neither unsavory nor unwarranted.
They're long overdue.
