This is probably why, in the movie Look Who's Back (Er ist wieder da), Hitler finds himself identifying more with the feckless Greens than any other current party...at first.
That movie was WAY better than I expected. I'm serious, it's worth a watch if you can find it.
I'm watching it now. It still has a bit of Leftist bias. The CDU being treated as a pale imitation of National Socialism is a ridiculous criticism. In fact, the Christian Democrats were one of his most hated enemies, but did represent a strong, tribal, German faction that he wasn't going to turn over to Socialism. The SDP weren't just scoundrels of stature or something, he DESPISED the SDP. After all, they were the ones who basically ensured his rise to power because they were the Weimar government.
However, IIRC there were eight members of the NSDAP that formed the Green party. This was actually because "Blood and Soil" has a soil component to it. The Nazis believed in this kind of magic dirt theory where the blood and sweat of the nation went into the ground, and then the soil fed them, so the 'blood' of the nation and it's soil were intrinsically linked. Preservation of "The Soil" is an essential concept to National Socialist dogma on managing society. He might have even opposed industrial agriculture were he to be taken into the future.
Edit - I'm actually a bit more upset watching it because there's people actively complaining about immigration into the country, even worried about being stabbed. Yet, here is a movie literally putting Adolf Hitler right next to them to further demonize them more than the government already does.

Is that the movie where the clips of Hitler, in full uniform driving around the modern world & taking selfies with fans, comes from?
That is in the movie, but the reason for it is a big spoiler.
