The one about reading is true, and it doesn’t help that most books nowadays are either hyper propaganda for leftists, rewritten history or so pornographic it’d make Goldstein blush.
Even when they were reading it was crap. What was big in 2003? It was all Harry Potter, Twilight saga, and Dan Brown. If they’re not reading now, it’s because media isn’t shoving the one hot thing to read down their throats. Absent of that, people don’t read. Before we try to drive people to read more, we need to get them to think for themselves and not pick up a book purely because there’s movies of it coming out.
It does appear to always be simple fiction of middling value and quality, true. A shame because there’s plenty of good books out right now, especially nonfiction.

leftists don't read

They skim the dustjacket and check if they should like it or not. Then claim to have read it OR said they refused to due to (insert reasons here).
They tame books like the Kite Runner that fits what they want to believe and makes their vaginas warm

I’m sure Harris’ new book about her failed bid for president will top the charts. Nobody will read it, though.
Also, we have to be working and will be called lazy for any leisure.
