Well after this director was "exposed as an antisemite"(mainly when some Western people combed his twitter account and found he had some old posts questioning the holocaust and saying some positive things about nazis) , he was rebuked by one of the anime studios that had hired him(he's a free lancer not really tied down to any one company) and and he also wasn't hired by any anime studios anymore despite being a veteran in the anime industry and being involved in the creation of quite a few famous animes. . You tell me what that means.
I don't know if it's Jews, but I've noticed a couple of shows airing in the past few seasons beginning to adopt some Western politics(ie, making opportunities for women in leadership in today's episode of Mynoghra). It's concerning because I think it may no longer just be a case of localizers inserting their shit but we've now got some sort of active feedback loop going on where Western mind rot is infecting Japanese creators.
Yeah, the scene is definitely changing, and at the source level.
On the bright side, there's a huge fucking backlog; I don't need to just watch the newest stuff.
But it's very sad, and an absolutely terrible marker, because it means a very unique and cool culture/society/people is under attack. That's much more important than anime.
It's wild that anyone, much less non-Westerners, are still falling for this, but they are. It seems like there are large chunks of Japanese politicians who think they need to import infinity foreigners to try to make Line Go Up, after already seeing how that works out for others.
