No, a red heifer sacrifice does not include burning them alive.

Has that ever been claimed? I don't think I've ever heard that part.

Also to be precise: the red heifer isn't technically a sacrifice. It is slaughtered and burned on the Mt. of Olives but not on an altar.

Still sounds like a sacrifice to me, and a sacrifice by fire, called a "holocaust."
